Villa Sylvia - Matala (Crete)

Terrace or balcony overlooking the stone paved courtyard and garden: I felt like I had my own little oasis, surrounded by nature, right outside my room. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

Small shower: While the overall bathroom was clean and functional, the shower was a bit on the cramped side. It was a minor inconvenience, but it didn't dampen my overall experience at the hotel.

I had a delightful stay at Villa Sylvia for 5 nights. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town yet surprisingly peaceful. Our hostess was charming and made us feel right at home. We loved having our own private terrace where we could enjoy our morning coffee. The private parking in the courtyard was a great convenience. a perfect little spot in Matala!

Villa Sylvia exceeded my expectations! The value for money was excellent, with spacious and quiet rooms, complete with thoughtful details like a kettle and fruit knife. The location was perfect - just a few minutes' walk from the beach, yet tucked away in a tranquil part of town. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and the private parking was a convenient plus.

The breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by offering more variety or adding some local specialties.

I had the most amazing time in Matala! The room was super clean and had a cute little balcony where I could chill and soak up the sun. The location was mind-blowing, just a quick 5-minute walk to the beach and the center. The A/C unit in the room was a lifesaver during the hot summer days. But what really made my stay special was the owner, Sylvia. She was such a sweetheart, always there with a kind smile and ready to help with anything I needed. The on-site parking and free wi-fi were definitely a plus. I also loved how close the hotel was to the hiking trail for the incredible hike to the Red Beach. a jaw-dropping experience with great amenities and a fantastic host!

Had a great time at this cozy place during Christmas! Loved our private terrace and the peace and quiet it offered. Perfectly located just a short stroll away from the beach and the lively town center. Appreciated the little touches like having a kettle and a fridge in our room. a lovely stay!

The location of the hotel is great, just a 5-minute walk from the beach and the main street. You can easily access everything in the town without any hassle. the room itself is small but clean, with a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view.

The shower in the room is quite small and uncomfortable, and the amenities provided are limited. There is no shampoo available, only body soap.
